Today, I'm going to show a vacation picture of out trip to Los Angeles, We were able to visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (lacma). It is a great museum. They had some nice German Expressionist paintings, which is one of my favorite art movements. I am posing by 2 paintings by my favorite artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.

Check the link for more info. When Hitler came into power, he decided that the German expressionist paintings were "degenerate" and put the clamp down on this and other "non wholesome" things that had been going on in Germany after WWI. That was a pretty liberal time in art and entertainment. Hitler had flunked out of art school and wanted wholesome still lifes etc. He also started book burnings and other "moral majority" type social reforms. So watch out for the people who want to clean things up and control what you see!
